Better Than Before Consulting was established in 2023 as a natural extension of the decades of work our Chief Executive Officer has done to help make organizations better.

Knowing how lonely leadership can be, Jennifer wanted an opportunity to use her skills to help other leaders feel less alone and more productive.

In addition to her role as Chief Executive Officer of Better Than Before Consulting, Jennifer is Chief Executive Officer of On My Own of Michigan, an award-winning nonprofit making independent living possible for people with developmental disabilities.

Since joining On My Own of Michigan in 2017, she has reversed financial deficits, expanded services, and built a high-performing organization that was named Best Managed Nonprofit by Crain’s Detroit Business.

Before she joined On My Own of Michigan, Jennifer was the Chief Performance Officer for Miriam’s Kitchen, a nonprofit working to end long-term homelessness in Washington, DC, and director of community relations for two minor league baseball teams on the East Coast.

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science in Print Journalism from Suffolk University, certificates in nonprofit management and strategy and performance management from Georgetown University, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.

When not helping organizations become better than before, Jennifer spends her time traveling the world, reading non-fiction, eating vegan snacks, and adventuring with her son.
